These deep rich beautiful leaves were forged from copper sheet metal. The deep leaf design was created with the use of a rolling mill. Each piece was sawed, fold formed, filed and sanded by hand. Liver of sulfur was painted on and buffed to accent the details of the leaf. Beeswax was applied and buffed to help maintain the rich color.
A cast bee made of sterling was soldered onto a twisted sterling silver handcrafted jump ring and attached to handcrafted 20 gauge sterling silver ear wires.
The earrings are lightweight. The leaf is approximately 2" in length and 2/3" across at widest point.
These hang approximately 2.75" including the ear wire.
Packaged snuggly in a cotton filled jewelry box and shipped in a padded envelope.
Aa with most jewelry, it is best not to wear in water or shower, as moisture could effect the copper patina.
