Copper piece slightly domed for depth and shape.
Vitreous enamel (powdered glass) is sifted onto the copper piece and fired in a 1460° F kiln to fuse glass to metal. Each side of the piece is sifted and fired multiple times. Lichen green layers fired first. Purple is last layer. Sgrafitto method used to reveal lichen green underneath and fired again. The pieces are etched to provide matte finish, and sides are filed.
These hang from handcrafted and oxidized sterling silver ear wires.
Packaged in cotton filled gift box. Ready for gifting. Approximately 1.57' in length. Hang about 2".
