Goddess of the Sea Fold Formed Enamel, Ocean Jasper, and Sterling Silver 20" Necklace
The focal piece is created from a sheet of copper, hand sawn, fold formed, filed, and sanded the enameled.
Vitreous enamel (fine pigmented powdered glass) is sifted onto the copper and fired in a kiln at 1500° Farenheit. This process was repeated multiple times. Gold lustre is painted on and fired again.
The sterling silver setting is hand forged, textured, soldered and polished, and the enameled piece is hand set into the setting along with a tear drop shaped ocean jasper. The piece is oxidized and buffed to highlight details.
The pendant hangs from a 20" oxidizedsterlingsilvercable chain with hand forged hook clasp.
The pendant is approximately 2"wide and 3" in length.
Packaged nestled in a cotton filled white jewelry box. It ships in a padded envelope.
Care instructions: The enamel piece can be wiped with a soft cloth. The silver setting can be cleaned with a soft pad which is included.
