This beautiful one of kind statement piece is created from a sheet of copper, vitreous enamel, reflective glass beads, and .925 sterling silver.
Vitreous enamel (fine pigmented powdered glass) is sifted onto the copper and fired in a kiln at 1460° Farenheit. This process was repeated multiple times on each side with a variety of colors of enamel. Sgraffito and hand painted methods used to create the design. Reflective glass beads are fired into the enamel. The sides are smoothed and sanded with an alundum stone. The piece is etched to achieve matte finish.
The sterling silver setting is hand forged, soldered and polished, and the enameled piece is hand set into the setting. A cast sterling silver flower is soldered to the sterling silver bezel. Patina is added to the bezel and chain and buffed to highlight details.
The pendant hangs from 26" sterling silver chain with a lobster clasp.
The penant is approximately 1.5' wide and 2.75" in length including the stemmed bale.
Packaged nestled in a cotton filled white jewelry box. It ships in a padded envelope.
Care instructions: The enamel piece can be wiped with a soft cloth. The silver setting can be cleaned with a soft pad which is included.
Please safely store when not wearing as with any fine jewelry.
