This beautiful one of kind statement piece is created from a sheet of enameled steel. vitreous enamel, and .925 sterling silver.
A circle is cut from the steel sheet. It is hand filed and sanded.
Vitreous enamel (fine pigmented powdered glass) is sifted onto the copper and fired in a kiln at 1460° Farenheit. This process was repeated multiple times and hand painted with water color enamels and fired again. The piece is etched to achieve matte finish.
The sterling silver and fine silver setting is hand formed, hammered, soldered and polished, and the enameled piece is hand set into the setting. The backplate is jeweler's brass.
The pendant hangs from an adjustable sterling silver snake chain. Simple hold the ball and pull the heart tag on the end to adjust length up to 20".
The penant is approximately 1.5" in width and 2.75" in length including the stemmed bale.
Packaged nestled in a cotton filled white jewelry box. It ships in a padded envelope.
Care instructions: The enamel piece can be wiped with a soft cloth. The silver setting can be cleaned with a soft pad which is included.
Please safely store when not wearing as with any fine jewelry.
