These earrings were created from copper sheet. Hand cut and formed.
Enamel (powdered glass) was sifted and fire at approximately 1460°. Multiple layers and firings. Sgraffito - scratching through the enamel to the layer underneath and additional color hand painted with water color enamels and fired.
These hang from hand crafted sterling silver earwires. 1.5" including ear wires.
Approximately 5/8". They are slightly smaller than a nickel.
Beautiful green, orange and yellow.
